OGCA shares reminders regarding political activity on campus |
|
As we enter the final days of this election season, the Office of Government and Community Affairs wants to remind the Emory community of the legal restrictions the university must follow regarding political activity to maintain its tax-exempt status. Members of the Emory community cannot place campaign signs on campus as it may erroneously give the impression that the university is supporting or opposing a political candidate. More information can be found here. Members of the Emory community are free to express their political opinions and engage in political activities to whatever extent they desire, as long as it is clear they are doing so as individuals and not on behalf of the university. Emory encourages all members of our community to vote, and more information can be found through the Emory Votes Initiative. |
