ADVENTURE Video: Where did you travel this summer? Members of the Emory community spent summer doing lots of interesting things in places around the world — including jumping rope on mountain summits. UNIVERSITY Liebeskind selected as interim senior vice provost for academic affairs Vice Provost Lanny Liebeskind will serve as interim senior vice provost for academic affairs, beginning Sept. 1. He will provide leadership, mentoring and transition support for the Office of the Provost. RECOGNITION Winship named among world’s top Cardio-Oncology Centers of Excellence The International Cardio-Oncology Society has designated Winship Cancer Institute a gold-level Cardio-Oncology “Center of Excellence,” one of fewer than 35 gold-level centers worldwide.

EMORY INSIDER   Class preparation: The Center for Faculty Development and Excellence is offering a series of webinars to help faculty prepare for fall semester: “Flexible Course Design” on Monday, Aug. 15; “Class Engagement 101” on Tuesday, Aug. 16; and “Tips for the First Week of Class” on Wednesday, Aug. 17.
