RECOGNITION
U.S. News ranks three Emory hospitals as best in Georgia and Atlanta
For the eleventh year in a row, U.S. News and World Report has ranked Emory University Hospital the No. 1 hospital in Georgia and metro Atlanta in the regional rankings in the U.S. News Best Hospitals issue. Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital ranked No. 2 and Emory University Hospital Midtown ranked No. 5.

Who was Atticus Finch?
Harper Lee’s novels “To Kill a Mockingbird” and “Go Set a Watchman” both marked publishing anniversaries in July. Take a look back at letters by Lee — acquired by Emory's Rose Library in 2018 — that shed new light on the beloved (though now controversial) character of Atticus Finch.

 

ACCOMPLISHMENT
Psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program earns accreditation
The School of Nursing has earned accreditation for its novel psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program, which will enable advanced practice nurses to learn more about the mental health field and help close the current care gap.
