challenge A crash course in leadership and camaraderie During their orientation, Goizueta graduate students encounter the most intense icebreaker-turned-leadership exercise they will ever face: the Leadership Reaction Course. Completing the obstacle-filled course is a one-day event required for all Goizueta graduate programs. Undergraduate business students can now also participate. RESEARCH Childhood obesity occurring at greater frequency, with more severity and at younger ages A new study led by Rollins School of Public Health researchers found that the childhood obesity epidemic in the United States continues to grow, despite numerous public health efforts. SUPPORT School of Nursing receives donation toward apartment for simulation A gift to the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing will create an apartment-like space in the new Emory Nursing Learning Center for students to simulate care in the home. LAW Nicole Morris named director of new legal tech initiative Nicole Morris will serve as the inaugural director of Emory Law’s Innovation and Legal Tech Initiative, leading efforts to address how advances in legal tech might affect the future of legal practice.
