Emory students, recent grads receive National Science Foundation graduate research fellowships
Seven Emory College alumni, including five from the Class of 2022, and 11 doctoral students in Laney Graduate School have been selected for the National Science Foundation’s Graduate Research Fellowship.

Winship receives $11 million grant to improve immunotherapy for lung cancer
The National Cancer Institute has awarded Winship Cancer Institute a P01 program project grant — nearly $11 million dollars over five years — to support research aimed at improving the effectiveness of immunotherapy for lung cancer.

A new health policy article led by Emory’s Center for Spina Bifida Prevention calls for the World Health Assembly to take immediate action toward making universal folic acid fortification of common foods mandatory.

Hear a panel discussion on the documentary "Power to Heal" and conversation about the historic struggle to secure equal and adequate access to health care for all Americans. The program will be hosted by Sheryl Heron and moderated by Nate Spell and Nancy DeSousa. Panelists include Nanette Wenger, Joanne McGriff, Yolanda Wimberly, Ildemaro Gonzalez, Jasmine Clark and Jasmin Eatman. Juneteenth celebration with Artist Charmaine Minniefield
Celebrate Juneteeth with Atlanta artist Charmaine Minniefield, whose recent work is featured in the exhibition “Indigo Prayers: A Creation Story.” The evening begins with a gallery talk in the exhibition at the Carlos Museum. Afterward, participants will board a private coach and travel to the King Historic District for an exploration of the artist's mural, "Cosmic Cypher, Prayer Circle," a panoramic depiction of the Ring Shout painted on the interior of the historic water tower on Auburn Avenue, and a reception and tour of Minniefield's Studioplex studio. (Note that the water tower at Studioplex is not accessible for those with mobility impairments.)
