10 things to know for fall semester
Excitement is in the air as students, faculty and staff prepare for the start of the new academic year, with most students moving in this weekend and classes starting next week. Here are 10 things to keep in mind as the university transitions to full on-site capacity.

 

COLLABORATION
Emory Healthcare and ProMedica commit to significant skilled nursing, rehabilitation services investment
Nationally-recognized health care providers ProMedica and Emory Healthcare have signed a collaborative agreement to design and build two multimillion-dollar skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers in the metro Atlanta area.

 

SUPPORT
Students explore career pathways through the humanities with Alumni Connections program
During the past year, Emory undergraduates and alumni connected through virtual panels showcasing how valuable an education in the humanities is to a wide range of career fields. The initiative is supported by an Andrew W. Mellon Foundation grant.

 

ACHIEVEMENT
Emory alumna nominated as solicitor general
President Joseph R. Biden has nominated alumna Elizabeth Prelogar to become the next solicitor general at the U.S. Department of Justice. She has served as acting solicitor general since January.

CREATIVITY
Emory Arts Fellowship program announces inaugural cohort
As the inaugural Emory Arts Fellowship program fellows, Masud Ashley Olufani and Tom Zhang will spend the year teaching undergraduate classes and partnering on courses with Emory faculty.
