SERVICE Emory ranked among Peace Corps' top volunteer-producing schools For the 11th consecutive year, Emory ranks as a top producer of Peace Corps volunteers. A total of 589 Emory alumni have served abroad as Peace Corps volunteers since the organization was established in 1961. Here’s a sample of recent grant awards across campus along with newly published research findings. PARTNERSHIPS FIRST program marks 20 years of pairing postdoc research with hands-on teaching FIRST (Fellowships in Research and Science Teaching) is now the largest and longest continuously-operating biomedical postdoc training program in the U.S. The innovative program is a collaboration between Emory and Morehouse College, Spelman College, Clark Atlanta University and the Morehouse School of Medicine.
