Emory University Hospital ranked No.1, Emory Saint Joseph's ranked No. 2 in Georgia by U.S. News and World Report
For the eighth consecutive year, U.S. News and World Report has ranked Emory University Hospital the No. 1 hospital in Georgia and metro Atlanta in its 2019-2020 Best Hospitals Guide. Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital and Emory University Hospital Midtown also earned spots on the list.

Chemists teach old drug new tricks to target deadly staph bacteria
Emory chemist Bill Wuest leads a team of students fighting drug-resistant bacteria. Their most recent work, published in PNAS, helped verify how bithionol can weaken the cell membranes of deadly staph bacteria.
