IMPACT Emory's Start:ME program helps small businesses in local communities Led by Emory's Goizueta Business School, the Start:ME business accelerator program provides support and grants to entrepreneurs in Clarkston, East Lake and Southside Atlanta. Get to know the businesses in the spring 2019 cohort, which account for more than $1.7 million in revenue and 65 jobs. COMMUNITY Emory holds flag raising ceremony for National Donate Life Month In recognition of National Donate Life Month, the Emory Transplant Center held a special Donate Life flag raising ceremony at Emory University Hospital to pay tribute to those who have given the gift of life through organ donation. TEACHING Undergraduate researchers present their work at spring symposium More than 100 Emory students presented their research last week at the Spring 2019 Undergraduate Research Symposium, held for the first time in the Woodruff Library. HEALTH Emory researchers continue efforts to lower drug-resistant hypertension without medication The Emory Heart & Vascular Center is participating in an FDA-approved pivotal trial, called CALM-2 , of a novel catheter-based, non-surgical procedure to treat patients with drug-resistant hypertension. CAMPUS Emory teams win three UAA championships in one weekend Emory's softball, women's tennis and men's tennis teams clinched University Athletic Association championships over the weekend, pushing Emory's total UAA championships to more than 200 over the university's history.
