Spanish faculty member Lisa Dillman wins international translation award
Lisa Dillman's adroit translation of Andrés Barba's "Such Small Hands," a chilling Spanish tale set in an orphanage, has won the prestigious Oxford-Weidenfeld Prize, which honors a book-length translation into English.

Global health seed grants support multidisciplinary faculty research
The Emory Global Health Institute announces the 2018 Seed Grant awardees, who will receive up to $50,000 to conduct preliminary research on issues impacting health from DeKalb County to Rwanda, Mozambique, Guatemala and Mexico.

Peachtree Road Race cardiac arrest survivor runs 2018 race with doctor who helped save his life
Last year, Tim Nelms collapsed in cardiac arrest near the finish line of the Peachtree Road Race. Luckily, Emory physician Douglas Ander wasn't far behind. Nelms not only survived, but he and his daughters ran the race again this year -- with Ander and his daughters.
