EVENTS
May: 10 free things to do on campus
May at Emory is all about Commencement, with the big event and lots of activities surrounding it. But there is still plenty to do, especially if you enjoy exhibits and concerts, both before and after the May 14 ceremony.

ACHIEVEMENT
Six honors theses highlight Emory College physics
Six seniors will graduate with honors in physics, having conducted rigorous research as expansive as hints of what happens around the universe's dying stars and as minute as the molecular mechanisms telling our cells what to do.

RESEARCH
Brick by brick: assembly of the measles virus
Researchers have been able to capture images of measles viruses as they emerge from infected cells, using state-of-the art cryo-electron tomography techniques. The new images could give hints on antiviral drug strategies likely to work across multiple viruses of this type.

TEACHING
Immigration policy course tackles complex questions of citizenship
Students in the political science course "Law and Politics of Immigration" are grappling with serious questions surrounding this complicated topic — one that, for many in the class, has a direct impact on their own lives.

CULTURE
Emory acquires work of Atlanta artist, photographer Jon Arge
Emory's Stuart A. Rose Manuscript, Archives and Rare Book Library is now home to the papers of Atlanta artist and photographer Jon Arge, including more than 5,000 Polaroid photographs that document the city's LGBT communities.

CAMPUS

"We couldn't be what we are if it weren't for the work each and every one of you does," Emory President Claire E. Sterk told attendees at the recent Employee Council Spring Leadership Social.
