HEALTH CARE Minimally invasive robotic surgery provides new option for pancreatic cancer patients Winship Cancer Institute at Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital has expanded surgical options for pancreatic cancer patients with the recent addition of minimally invasive robotic surgery. RESEARCH CDC funds Emory project to automate analysis of mixed strains of antibiotic-resistant bacteria The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention awarded $380,000 to three Emory faculty to develop and refine a promising technique to detect and respond to threats from drug-resistant pathogens.
