HEALTH Emory primary care grows with nine new clinics and a clinic expansion To meet the growing demand of patients in need of primary care providers, Emory Healthcare is expanding its primary care services with the opening of nine new clinics and adding extra providers to a tenth. SCHOLARSHIP Philosopher examines how sports fandom shapes identity With football season underway, the mania of American sports fans is on full display. Oxford philosophy professor Erin Tarver's new book, "The I in Team: Sports Fandom and the Reproduction of Identity," takes a deeper look at what it means. ARTS Theater Emory's new artistic director pushes tradition of innovation This fall, Theater Emory welcomes Brent Glenn, who aims to reinvigorate the 30-year-old organization into a more outward-facing institution while building on its strong tradition of innovation and new works. TEACHING Chemistry synthesizes radical overhaul of undergraduate curriculum Emory is one of the first major research universities to completely overhaul how it teaches chemistry, from introductory courses to capstone senior seminars. The new curriculum, called Chemistry Unbound, is supported by a $1.2 million grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
