2017-18 ACADEMIC YEAR   TEACHING Fall courses engage emerging scholarship, hands-on learning Across Emory, fall semester courses bring both new insights and historical context to critical issues, tackling topics ranging from big data to big questions like what it means to be human and where human rights come from. IMPACT New professors offer a rich array of experiences, scholarship From mathematicians, environmental scientists and chemists to scholars who study literature, ancient DNA, and health care disparities, new faculty members cite a wealth of expertise across a sweeping range of intellectual disciplines. ACHIEVEMENT New PhD students bring diverse talents to Emory Undergraduates aren't the only new students arriving on campus. Emory also welcomes hundreds of new students seeking the university's highest degree, the PhD, pursuing original research on subjects like chemistry and climate change. RESOURCES As semester starts, Campus Life Center construction advances on schedule The swift demolition of the DUC over the summer cleared the way for the rise of Emory's new Campus Life Center, which will offer more space to connect and collaborate.
