CONSTRUCTION
Summer DUC demolition paves the way for new Campus Life Center
By the time students return to campus for the fall semester, the Dobbs University Center will be gone, making way for the construction of Emory's new, state-of-the-art Campus Life Center, scheduled for completion in May 2019.

 

HEALTH
Diabetes: Fighting the epidemic the way public health has fought HIV
Some 29 million people in the U.S. are living with type 2 diabetes. Doctors are good at caring for and controlling the disease, but lagging in prevention. Now a team at Rollins School of Public Health is borrowing from the school's expertise in HIV prevention to tackle diabetes.

World's smallest, leadless pacemaker yields positive results in Emory-led study
An international clinical trial, led by Emory, reports excellent outcomes for the world's smallest, leadless pacemaker, the Micra TPS.

Atlanta Sports City 'signs' Emory Healthcare for project in Stonecrest
Emory Healthcare will serve as the official sports medicine partner for Atlanta Sports City, a new 190-acre complex that will include a soccer stadium, indoor and outdoor athletic facilities, retail, entertainment and more.

Libraries honor students with undergraduate research awards
Emory's Woodruff and Rose libraries recently honored 15 students with undergraduate research awards for their projects and papers that used primary sources they found in the libraries.
