RECOGNITION U.S. News ranks Emory’s graduate, professional schools among best in nation Emory University’s graduate and professional schools and programs continue to be ranked among the best in the nation, according to the 2023 edition of U.S. News and World Report’s “America’s Best Graduate Schools” guide. FACULTY Deborah Lipstadt confirmed as U.S. special envoy to monitor and combat antisemitism Deborah E. Lipstadt, professor of modern Jewish history and Holocaust studies, has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate as Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, a State Department position with the rank of ambassador. MILESTONE Astronaut Scott Kelly to speak at Class Day Crossover celebration Emory will celebrate graduating undergraduate students with Class Day Crossover on May 5, an evening of inspiration, awards and fun. Former NASA astronaut and retired U.S. Navy Capt. Scott Kelly has been named keynote speaker. commitment New Campus Life associate VP to focus on student health and well-being As Emory’s inaugural associate vice president for health, well-being, access and prevention, James Raper will help bring increased focus to the university’s holistic approach to student health and well-being. PERSPECTIVE Women’s History Month keynote Haben Girma is on a mission to dismantle ableism As a disability rights advocate and the first Deafblind woman to graduate from Harvard Law School, Haben Girma shared valuable perspectives during Emory’s annual Women’s History Month keynote address. ACCOMPLISHMENT Emory’s Class of 2026 On March 30, Emory offered admission to the final group of first-year students who applied under the Regular Decision admission plan to join the undergraduate Class of 2026. Learn about the outstanding admitted class, drawn from the most diverse applicant pool in Emory's history.

Indigenous Language Path engagement sessions: The Emory community is invited to learn about and provide input into a university-wide project to develop physical reminders and rituals on Emory’s Oxford and Atlanta campuses to honor Muscogee language and knowledge as the Indigenous language and knowledge of this land. Open engagement sessions are scheduled for April 7 on the Oxford and Atlanta campuses. Learn more and RSVP for sessions.
