Tyler Perry to deliver Emory Commencement address
World-renowned cinematic innovator Tyler Perry will deliver Emory University’s 2022 Commencement address and receive an honorary degree. The event is set for May 9 on the Emory Quadrangle.

Emory sets undergraduate tuition for 2022-23 academic year
The university is committed to making an Emory education affordable and accessible to all admitted students by meeting 100 percent of demonstrated financial need for domestic undergraduate students and their families.

Emory named top producer of student Fulbright winners
For the sixth consecutive year, the U.S. State Department has named Emory a top producer of Fulbright winners. In the past decade, 119 Emory students have won the Fulbright, the government’s flagship international exchange program.

Emory community encouraged to comment on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategic Planning Report
The final draft of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategic Planning Report is available online, and community members are invited to offer their perspective through March 30.

As spring blooms on campus, March brings a full calendar of arts-related events to Emory, including Carlos Museum programs, student musical and theater performances and a concert by contemporary chamber group Unheard-of//Ensemble.

On Friday, March 18, Oxford College will host its first-ever Spring Festival to give junior and senior continuees in Atlanta a chance to reconnect with their Oxford roots. Festivities from 2 to 6 p.m. will feature a welcome Coke toast by Dean Hicks, a social mixer, carnival, food trucks, free swag and more. Buses will run from the Atlanta campus every 30 minutes. Award-winning poet Marilyn Chin will share her wide-ranging work during a virtual reading in celebration of Women’s History Month. Poems by the self-described “activist poet” have been referred to as funny, fearless and feminist, and have earned Chin an array of prestigious literary honors. The event is part of the Raymond Danowski Poetry Library Reading Series founded by Emory’s Stuart A. Rose Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library.
