ART Rediscover the Michael C. Carlos Museum this fall The Michael C. Carlos Museum’s Asian Art Gallery has reopened after a renovation and reconfiguration. The museum is open with safety measures in place and new exhibits to enjoy during fall semester. COMMITMENT Symposium to offer new perspectives on Emory's history of slavery and dispossession The entire Emory community is invited to learn more about the school’s history with slavery and Native American land dispossession — and how that history impacts the present — at the “In the Wake of Slavery and Dispossession” symposium Sept. 29-Oct. 1. UNIVERSITY New academic year brings new faculty, programs across Emory The nine schools that make up Emory University have big plans for the 2021-22 academic year, as all students return to campus. First-year students compete in Oxford Olympics The Oxford Olympics, held this year on Aug. 23, is a highlight of New Student Orientation at Oxford College and an evening of fun before the seriousness of class registration the following day.

EMORY INSIDER   Help others: Emory’s Welcoming Day of Service, hosted by Volunteer Emory, will be held Saturday, Sept. 11. Check-in and kick-off begin in the Emory Student Center’s multipurpose room at 11 a.m. It’s the perfect chance for students to come together as volunteers around Atlanta.
