Scientists chase mystery of how dogs process words
A study by Emory neuroscientists suggests that dogs have at least a rudimentary neural representation of meaning for words they have been taught, differentiating words they have heard before from those they have not.

Activist Bryan Stevenson to speak at Emory
Lawyer Bryan Stevenson, author of the best-seller "Just Mercy," will discuss the American legal system, mass incarceration and social justice on Oct. 26. He will be joined by former client Anthony Ray Hinton, who served 28 years on death row before his conviction was overturned.
