Don and Emily Saliers to explore music, social justice at Oxford event
Emory theologian Don Saliers and his daughter, Indigo Girls' Emily Saliers 85C, will perform together at Oxford College on Tuesday. "Sing Justice, Sing Life" will feature a mixture of hymns and songs from her musical career.

Composer, klezmer fiddler Svigals to perform original score at Emory
Alicia Svigals, the world's leading klezmer fiddler, will perform her original score during a Sept. 7 screening of the 1918 silent film "The Yellow Ticket," which follows a young Jewish woman facing anti-Semitism in Russia.

 

COMMUNITY
'Conversations with America': Emory advances discourse on national issues
Kicking off yesterday in Pittsburgh, "Conversations with America" is part of Emory's effort to advance and promote conversation and civil discourse on the most difficult issues facing our nation.

ATHLETICS
Fall sports teams aim for winning seasons
Emory's volleyball, soccer and cross country teams start their fall seasons Sept. 1, looking to build on last year's success, when all posted winning records and volleyball advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championships.
