CAMPUS Dooley's Week: The galactic adventure continues Dooley, Emory's unofficial skeletal mascot, rose from the dead Monday to walk the campus for Dooley's Week, bringing a full slate of free festivities. "Dooley's Galaxy" events continue through Sunday. COMMUNITY Emory joins second amicus brief against President Trump's executive order on immigration Emory University has joined 30 other universities around the country in filing an amicus brief opposing President Trump's second executive order restricting immigration. ACTIVITIES April: 10 things to do for $10 or less There's still plenty to do at Emory in the final weeks leading up to the end of the academic year. Check out these 10 options ranging from entertaining to enlightening, all for $10 or less. INSIGHT Students organize conference to explore disability and the humanities "I've learned the humanities can provide the framework to understand people and the experience of illness," says Somnath Das, who is organizing an April 11 conference on health humanities. IN CLASS University Course offers timely exploration of global security, leadership This semester's class on 'Global Security and Leadership in a Complex World' brings speakers with real-world experience along with issues as current as the day's headlines. EVENTS April arts events feature Theaster Gates, recitals, family favorites This month's calendar includes spring recitals from several Emory arts groups, including the Emory Dance Company performing "What Once Was," featuring work from seven student choreographers. SUPPORT Financial Literacy Month offers events, new online program For Financial Literacy Month, Emory students and alumni can join Salt, a new online tool that promotes financial literacy, and attend an array of campus events. LEADERSHIP Search for Emory's next provost narrows to select group of finalists The search for Emory's next provost and executive vice president of academic affairs has narrowed a highly competitive field of promising candidates to a small group of finalists who visited campus over recent weeks. INSPIRATION Small world, big impact: Emory Global Health Institute aids those in need Founded 10 years ago, Emory Global Health Institute is a university-wide organization comprising 200 faculty members representing every college across campus with the expertise to create lasting global change.

Emory Insider: Amenities   Go for a swim: Take a dip in the outdoor pool at the Student Activity and Academic Center on the Clairmont Campus. The pool reopened April 1 and is heated to a minimum of 78 degrees. Membership in the SAAC is free for full-time students. Faculty and staff may purchase discount memberships or use the $10 daily walk-up pass.
