Emory announces Bobby Jones Scholars for study in Scotland
Outstanding Emory College seniors Joan Shang, Julianna Joss, Jason Ehrenzeller and Ekaterina Koposova will spend a year in Scotland pursuing master's degrees at the University of St Andrews.

 

COMMUNITY
Emory's Greek community grows with new, returning chapters
Emory's Greek community welcomed two new chapters in the last year, including the university's first Latino fraternity. Five more Greek organizations are scheduled to return by 2019, setting a record for sororities and fraternities on campus.

 

SPORTS
Men's basketball earns NCAA Division III tournament bid
The Emory Eagles head to Texas to compete in the opening rounds of the NCAA Division III Tournament, the team's fifth consecutive postseason bid. Pairings for this year's 64-team field were announced Monday.

March arts events include Tibet Week, Barenaked Voices
Along with warmer weather, March brings a multitude of arts events to Emory's campus, including annual favorites Tibet Week at the Michael C. Carlos Museum and the student a cappella celebration, Barenaked Voices.

Atlanta Braves and Emory Healthcare announce partnership
The Atlanta Braves and Emory Healthcare have announced a new medical partnership that names Emory Healthcare as the official team health care provider of the Atlanta Braves.

Emory believes each member of our community deserves to study, work and live in accordance with their gender identity. Therefore, individuals may use restrooms and other facilities that correspond to their gender identity.

Men's tennis wins ITA National Indoor Championship
The Eagles defeated the University of Chicago on Sunday to win the Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Indoor Championship for the second year in row.

INNOVATION
Emory receives grant to support advancement in humanities doctoral education
The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation has awarded Emory $1.5 million over five years to expand professional competencies and integrate public scholarship into humanities doctoral training, as well as graduate teaching and research endeavors, at the Laney Graduate School.
