Thanksgiving 2021

As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, I am deeply grateful to work alongside an extraordinary group of people who give so much of themselves every day to improve lives and provide hope for our patients and their families, our students, each other, and our community. The successes you achieve in education, research, and patient care are absolutely amazing.

Anne Frank said, “No one has ever become poor by giving.” All that you have given to our missions and to those whom we serve has made life better for all of society.

As we celebrate the season of gratitude, I’m humbled to belong to Emory’s Woodruff Health Sciences Center – an institution that is not only on the leading edge of the high-profile global fight against COVID-19, but that is also making an immeasurable impact right here in our own community in a thousand ways every single day. I am thankful to lead a remarkable team of persons who share their time and talents so generously.

This week, I hope you find time to rest, relax, and enjoy time with your loved ones. Thanks to all of you for making a difference for the people we serve. Linda and I extend our best wishes for a very happy Thanksgiving.
