Changed but not reduced

The faculty, staff, and students of the Woodruff Health Sciences Center have turned one of the most difficult times in history into an opportunity to do more good than ever before. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our frontline medical teams have delivered an expanded amount of care with a level of skill that has given us one of the highest survival rates in the region and even the country. We developed a high efficiency vaccine center that has served as a model for others, and we’ve reached out to unvaccinated communities with education and engagement efforts. Emory has emerged as a global leader of information in the media, with our experts appearing more often than almost all of our peers in TV, radio, and other media outlets. Thanks to everyone who has helped us more than rise to meet this historic challenge.
