We are just beginning to leverage the power of the diverse communities that are coming together around brain health in Atlanta and beyond. In growing numbers, communities of patients, family members, philanthropists, and multidisciplinary teams of providers, scientists, engineers, and students are investing time, talent, and passion in the challenging work presented by complex brain illnesses.
We have been afforded an amazing opportunity to share these efforts with an exciting new partnership. The Emory Brain Health Center is collaborating with Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) on a new statewide television program, thanks to support from the Georgia Power Foundation. This series will feature compelling stories about brain-related health and wellness. The news magazine-style show, Your Fantastic Mind, will highlight some of our patients and report on cutting-edge research and clinical advances in neurology, neurosurgery, psychiatry, sleep medicine, and rehabilitation medicine.
GPB will air this primetime show weekly on all nine of its stations across Georgia. Your Fantastic Mind is scheduled to debut Monday, January 28, 2019, at 8 PM Eastern time, and it will be hosted by the Emory Brain Health Center's Jaye Watson.
The show is the cornerstone of an Emory-wide awareness campaign currently happening across the university and throughout our health care systems. The awareness campaign is celebrating the transformative impact of Emory’s national and international role in brain health research, patient care, and clinical advancements.
