Tritt named chief medical officer of Emory Johns Creek Hospital

Shawn Tritt, MD, vice chair of anesthesiology at Emory Johns Creek Hospital, has been named chief medical officer of the facility.

Tritt has served patients and the community of Johns Creek as a physician since 2009.

He has worked in a variety of medical staff leadership roles including: interim chair and vice chair of the Professional Practice Evaluation Committee; vice chair of anesthesiology for EJCH; chair of the Ethics Committee; and member of the Medical Executive Committee, among others.

Tritt manages the Student Nurse Anesthesia Program as site director and is a member of the Data Utilization and Implementation Committee as well as the Physician Advisory Group.

Tritt received his undergraduate degree from University of Georgia and his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He completed a general surgery internship at the Mayo Clinic. In 2009, Tritt finished his residency in anesthesia at the University of Virginia, where he was named chief resident during the last year of his residency.
