Students from across Emory College will present posters at the Spring 2018 Undergraduate Research Symposium from 3-6 p.m., April 24-25, in the Math and Science Center Lobby.

The events, coordinated by the Office of Undergraduate Research Programs, are free and open to the entire Emory community.

Many of the presenters conducted research under the direction of Emory faculty in the natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, and creative and performing arts for a year or more.

The first day of the symposium, Tuesday, April 24, will primarily showcase the work of the Research Partners Program and Independent Grant Recipients.

The Research Partners Program is a year-long class where second- and third-year students conduct research under the guidance of a faculty mentor and learn a variety of research skills with a cohort of other student researchers. Independent Grant Recipients were awarded grants in the fall or spring semesters for their independent research projects.

The second day of the symposium, Wednesday, April 25, will showcase the work of all other Emory undergraduate researchers. The presentations span a wide variety of disciplines and demonstrate the high level of talent and ingenuity among Emory students.
