Networking event focuses on undergraduate research

Students looking to learn about the different kinds of research opportunities at Emory are invited to a Research Networking Night next week.

The free event begins at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, with a faculty panel in the Oxford Road Building’s living room. A mixer will follow.

The format allows students to connect with faculty and graduate students engaged in research across various fields and also ask questions to help with their own research, says Folashade Alao, co-director of Undergraduate Research Programs.

“We want to expose students to the different pathways to pursue research at Emory, from research-based courses and independent research to working as a research assistant,” Alao says.

The event, which is co-hosted by the Undergraduate Research Programs and the Career Center, is part of the High Five Networking Series continuing through the spring.

Students must register for the free Research Networking event. Sign up here.
