WHO:

Emory University School of Medicine graduating medical students

WHAT:

On Friday, March 18, Emory University School of Medicine Class of 2016 will gather with family, friends, faculty and fellow students for the annual Match Day 2016 ceremony. The much-anticipated event begins at the stroke of noon as the students eagerly open envelopes naming the destination where they will train as resident doctors. The event is filled with emotion as the students learn simultaneously where they will begin practicing medicine.

The Emory students are among thousands nationwide participating in Match Day 2016. The students applied for residency positions at US teaching hospitals through the National Residency Match Program that annually matches students with residency programs.
