The first baby of the New Year at Emory University Hospital Midtown arrived at 1:15 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2016.
 
Mom, Ayanna, and dad, Domarius, who are both Emory employees, are proud to welcome their new baby boy, Domarius, Jr., who will be called D.J. The baby weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces, and was 20 inches in length.
 
D.J. was due on Christmas Eve, but decided to wait and make his appearance a week later on New Year’s Day.
 
This is the couple's second baby.
 
The first baby of 2016 at Emory Johns Creek Hospital came at 5:50 a.m.
