Panel to discuss legal issues related to health care and epidemic diseases

Emory University School of Law will host a panel discussion on Tues., Oct. 14, to discuss questions about legal preparedness for infectious disease outbreaks, and to highlight the role of law in preparing for potential public health emergencies. 

WHAT: Panel discussion entitled “Ebola in the U.S.: Legal issues related to healthcare and epidemic disease"

WHO: Panelists will include 

  • Polly Price, professor of law, Emory University;
  • Jane Jordan, deputy general counsel/chief counsel for health affairs, Emory University; and
  • Ed Shoemaker, police officer, Emory University.

The event is co-sponsored by Emory Law's Health Law Society and Emory University's Public Health Ethics Club.
