Dean's Address and rescheduled symposium are April 22

The Dean's Address from the Laney School of Graduate Studies and the inaugural Laney Symposium are Tuesday, April 22, beginning at 4:30 p.m. in Room W525 of the Goizueta Business School.

Dean Lisa Tedesco will give the Dean's Address. The symposium, rescheduled from its original date in February that was impacted by the weather, will follow.

"Can Graduate Education Solve Global Problems?" will feature keynote remarks by George Rupp, past president, International Rescue Committee; president emeritus, Columbia University; and board member, Council on Foreign Relations.

Tedesco will moderate a panel that includes Rupp; Manuel Montoya, LGS alumnus, Rhodes Scholar, member of the Council on Foreign Relations and professor at the University of New Mexico Anderson School of Management; Provost Claire Sterk; and Morgan Mercer, candidate for a master's in Development Practice.

Emory president emeritus James T. Laney will give opening remarks.

A reception will follow in Room W531 of the business school.
