Israel Up-Close 2014 global outreach series stops at Emory Nov. 4

A conversation on "Legislation of Women's Issues in Israel" will be Monday, Nov. 4 at 3 p.m. at Emory Law, suite G575.

Aliza Lavie, a coalition member of Israel's Knesset (parliament) and chair of the Women's Right Committee, will be speaking.

She will be joined by Kenneth Stein, professor of contemporary Middle Eastern history, political science and Israeli studies at Emory, and Ofra Yeglin, professor of Hebrew literature and Middle Eastern studies at Emory.

Lavie's talk is part of "Israel Up-Close 2014," a 10-day series of events held in the United States by the Bar-Ilan University in Israel. The series brings experts for lectures, grounded in scholarly research, on Israel and the Middle East.
