On Wednesday, Dec. 5, C-SPAN's Campaign 2012 bus is making its way to Emory's campus for the first time.

The 45-foot long bus spends the year traveling across the country with the goal of connecting visitors to the specialty broadcast channel's public affairs programming.

The bus will open for touring from noon to 2 p.m., and will be stationed in the circle near the Woodruff P.E. Center and across from the Dobbs University Center.

The bus tour is designed to teach visitors about C-SPAN's resources through the interactive features of the bus itself, using touch screen computers, laptops and mobile devices.  The tour also highlights C-SPAN's video library, which contains 190,000 hours of programming that dates back to 1986, and includes historic events, speeches and conventions.

C-Span is a nonprofit cable television network that broadcasts the proceedings of the federal government and other public affairs programming.
