Time to renew campus parking permits

The cost of parking on campus for FY 2013 will not increase.

However, drivers who have a permit with an expiration date of Aug. 31, 2012, who plan to continue parking on campus will need to renew their parking permits.

Permits set to expire on Aug. 31 include:

  • Faculty Staff (FS) — Those who park on campus almost every day.

  • Occasional Eagle — Those who park on campus occasionally, but not under the Commute Alternative Program.

  • Evening — Those who come to work after 2 p.m., Monday through Friday, and park in Starvine/Clairmont, Michael Street or Peavine.

  • Alternative Transportation (AT) — Primary drivers of carpools or vanpools.

  • Emory Parking (EP) – Those who park on campus almost every day and the permit is paid for by third party and not by payroll deduction.

  • Commute Alternative Programs (CAP) — Occasional parking permit for eligible employees registered in a commute alternative program (carpool rider, vanpool rider, bike, walk/drop off or public transit).

Emory employees who are eligible to pay for their FS, AT or Eagle permit through payroll deduction can register online.

CAP program participants who need an occasional parking permit for FY 2013 will first need to register for the program online.

Transportation and Parking Services will then contact employees to complete the registration process.

Permit and commute option renewals may also be handled in person at Transportation and Parking Services, located at 1945 Starvine Way, Suite 400B, on the Clairmont Campus. Shuttle service is available on the E route and the Clairmont/Peavine route.

Permits will be mailed to employees who renew their parking and commute option by Aug. 22. To ensure delivery, employees should confirm the Priority 1 mailing address on their parking accounts at myaccount.parking.emory.edu. Renewals completed after Aug. 22 will be available for pick up at Transportation and Parking Services beginning on Aug. 24.

Current permits are still valid and may be used until Aug. 31. New permits will be active and available for use on Sept. 1.

Permits will not be issued to anyone with outstanding fines. Fines can be paid online at  myaccount.parking.emory.edu.
