Emory receives $23.8 million NIH grant to accelerate HIV research
An Emory University-led research collaboration has been awarded a five-year, $23.8 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to fast-track research to cure HIV infection or put it in permanent remission.

Luke Timothy Johnson returns to Candler School of Theology as McDonald Chair
The 2021-22 McDonald Lectures of Candler School of Theology will be delivered by Luke Timothy Johnson, Robert W. Woodruff Professor Emeritus of New Testament and Christian Origins. His first public lecture as the McDonald Chair will be Sept. 15.

When the Atlanta mayor’s office partnered with event promoter Live Nation to offer free passes to Music Midtown for anyone who got a COVID-19 vaccine at a pop-up clinic, they turned to Emory’s Outbreak Response Team for help.
