Outstanding students selected as new cohort of Woodruff Scholars
Five nationally ranked high school debaters are among the 29 members of the extraordinary class of Woodruff Scholars joining Emory College of Arts and Sciences and Oxford College this fall. Recipients of the university’s top merit scholarships also include a playwright, a poet, science researchers, musicians and community advocates.

 

COLLABORATION
Yerkes genomics research will help predict COVID-19 disease severity
Emory’s Yerkes National Primate Research Center has received a $4.1 million grant supplement to track gene expression from 1,000 COVID-19 patients. The data will help a multi-center effort to develop COVID-19 biomarkers for predicting disease severity and informing treatment decisions.
