RESEARCH
Emory helps lead research on drug to treat COVID-19 patients
Emory played a leading role in the government-sponsored clinical trial of the COVID-19 drug remdesivir, hailed by Dr. Anthony Fauci as the new standard of care for hospitalized patients. Emory enrolled more patients than any other study site in the world.

HEALTH
Virtual workouts help employees stay focused on personal wellbeing
Emory's fitness and recreation facilities haven’t let sheltering in place keep them from encouraging the community to stay healthy. They turned to social media to share workouts, host live Q&As and more – and have seen great response.

ACHIEVEMENT
McMullan Award honors Thomas for leadership with compassion
Emory College senior Adesola Thomas, an English and political science double major, distinguished herself by engaging as a scholar and leader at nearly every level on campus — and by carving out space for others to do so, too.

RECOGNITION
Two seniors receive Sudler Prize in the Arts for exceptional creativity
Seniors Gabi Davis and Lucy Wainger are Emory's 2020 recipients of the Louis B. Sudler Prize in the Arts, recognizing their exceptional promise in the creative arts. The prize is given annually at Emory and a select group of colleges nationwide.

COMMUNITY
All Hands on Deck: The Carlos Museum brings art into homes
Carlos Museum staff members have found ways to share many exhibit pieces in digital formats. Online jigsaw puzzles, webinars with artists and even book deliveries by bicycle are helping patrons enjoy the Carlos while sheltering in place.
