COLLABORATION
Biomedical partnership receives funding for single ventricle heart defect research
The Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Emory and Georgia Tech will share in a $5.7 million Innovation Fund to identify cures for children born with single ventricle heart defects, a rare but incurable condition.

Candler's McDonald Lectures to explore option for the poor, Christian interpretation of the border
As holder of the McDonald Chair, Roberto S. Goizueta will present public lectures on Feb. 12 and March 31. He has been named one of the 10 most influential Hispanic American educators, pastors and theologians by The National Catholic Reporter.

Emory biologist awarded grant for male contraceptive research
Biology professor Steven L'Hernault is working to develop a platform to use nematode worms to screen for male contraceptive candidates that block the binding of sperm and egg.
