Deep brain stimulation effective to relieve treatment-resistant depression, long-term data shows
Patients suffering from severe, treatment-resistant depression can experience long-term relief through deep brain stimulation, according to research conducted at Emory.

New funding will support international research on moderate Islam
With support from the Luce Foundation, religion professor Jim Hoesterey will co-lead a team of global scholars examining the widely differing concepts of moderate Islam across the Muslim-majority countries of Egypt, Indonesia and Morocco.

Winship 5K raises over $767,000 for cancer research
More than 3,500 runners and walkers participated in the 9th annual Winship Win the Fight 5K on Saturday, Oct. 5, and raised money for cancer research at Winship. You can still show support by donating through Nov. 29.
