Grandmother's kidney donation garners kidney voucher for granddaughter
The Emory Transplant Center and patient Jamie McNeil have together created a safety net for McNeil's two-year-old granddaughter, while also starting a chain of kidney transplants through the National Kidney Registry's Donor Voucher Program.

 

HEALTH
New Emory program will empower patients with mild cognitive impairment
A new paradigm-shifting program at the Emory Brain Health Center aims to tackle early declines in memory, a condition that affects up to 20 percent of Americans over age 65. The program will combine research, clinical care and patient and caregiver support.

 

CAMPUS
Students, faculty encouraged to 'do lunch' together at the DUC-ling
A new initiative encourages students and faculty to invite each other to share a meal at the DUC-ling. The meals will be free for faculty and students not participating in the Emory meal plan.

Giving back on Emory Cares International Service Day
The 15th annual Emory Cares International Service Day, held Saturday, Nov. 10, drew more than 1,000 registrants in 50 cities and seven countries around the world. Volunteers helped with dozens of community projects, including more than 20 in the Atlanta area.
