Emory chemistry receives $7.5 million to lead fuel cell research
The U.S. Department of Defense awarded $7.5 million to Tianquan (Tim) Lian, professor of physical chemistry at Emory, to lead an investigation of electrochemical processes underlying fuel-cell technology.

 

CONSTRUCTION
'Cardboard city' tests layout of new cancer clinical trials unit
Winship Cancer Institute's dedicated Phase I Clinical Trials unit will triple in size when it moves to the Emory University Hospital tower. Floor plans were turned into a life-size cardboard model so the layout could be tweaked before construction starts.

 

ACHIEVEMENT
Emory student earns Udall Scholarship for effective environmental advocacy
Zola Berger-Schmitz, a rising senior with nearly a decade of experience as an environmental advocate, has been named a 2018 Udall Scholar. Co-president of the Emory Climate Organization, she also co-founded Universities for a Greener Georgia.
