Emory names 2018 Bobby Jones Scholars for study in Scotland
Emory College students Carli Kovel, Wei Wei Chen, Jason Sell and Leah Neiman will spend a year studying at the University of St Andrews as part of the prestigious Robert T. Jones Jr. Scholarship.

Scully to serve as vice provost for undergraduate education
In her new role, professor and administrator Pamela Scully will lead programs and initiatives focused on enhancing the undergraduate experience and supporting student success.

 

HEALTH
Emory emergency medicine physicians reunite with Peachtree Road Race cardiac arrest survivor
Tim Nelms, 61, was nearing the finish line of the 2017 Peachtree Road Race on July 4 when he slowed, then went down on the pavement in cardiac arrest. Luckily, Emory emergency medicine physician Douglas Ander was running just steps behind.

Emory acquires papers of Obama inaugural poet Richard Blanco
Emory's Rose Library is now home to the papers of poet Richard Blanco, who became widely recognized after reading his poem "One Today" at the second inauguration of President Barack Obama.
