Emory students win Fulbright grants for research, teaching around the world
Emory University will send a dozen students and recent graduates across the globe in the coming year as part of the 2017 Fulbright U.S. Student Program, the flagship international exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government.

Child-friendly app gives young cancer patients a voice
Research shows that adults most often report a child's symptoms, but their rating doesn't always reflect the child's experience. Emory's Janice Withycombe and her team designed a survey for the iPad that children with cancer can use to record how they are feeling.

 

SUSTAINABILITY
Emory honored in Atlanta Better Buildings Challenge
Emory was the only college or university in the metro Atlanta region to receive this year's MVP designation, which recognizes participants that were not only top performers, but also champion advocates for the challenge.

 

EVENTS
Emory hosts journalism panel to kick off Decatur Book Festival
NPR's Brooke Gladstone and other reporters and editors will discuss "Journalism in Our Current Environment" as Emory hosts the Sept. 1 keynote for the Decatur Book Festival. Tickets will be available starting Aug. 8.

Hundreds turn out for staff open house at new Emory University Hospital Tower
More than 1,200 Emory employees and physicians got a sneak peek at the new Emory University Hospital Tower, learning about the detail, design and hard work that has gone into the building from start to near finish. The first two floors and the new underground parking deck opened Monday.
