DUC-ling opening offers trial run for fall food service

Microneedle patches for flu vaccination prove successful in first human clinical trial
Researchers found that small skin patches with dissolvable microneedles were safe and well-tolerated, generated robust immunity against influenza, could be self-administered and were strongly preferred over shots.

A gift from the estate of Mary Lee Hardin Willard has created a permanent endowment to support the dean of Emory's Candler School of Theology. Jan Love will be installed as the inaugural Mary Lee Hardin Willard Dean in August.

Mouse study suggests how hearing a warning sound turns into fearing it over time
Emory researchers have identified a new mechanism that contributes to learning an association between an auditory warning and a fearful event. The findings could aid research into how to help combat veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.

Emory develops national database of clinics that prescribe HIV prevention drug PrEP
The online PrEP Locator makes it easier to find and access pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), a drug that has proven extremely effective in preventing the spread of the HIV virus.
