Atlanta Hawks, Emory Healthcare break ground on sports medicine complex
On Friday, the Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club and Emory Healthcare broke ground on the Emory Sports Medicine Complex. The facility, which will become the Hawks' official practice site, is the first in the NBA to combine a training venue with an entire sports medicine center.

Tawni Tidwell: Bridging ancient Tibetan medicine and modern Western science
Tawni Tidwell is the first Westerner to be certified in Tibetan medicine by Tibetan teachers in the Tibetan language. The PhD candidate in Emory's Department of Anthropology is now working on a dissertation about how Tibetan physicians diagnose diseases, especially cancer.
