HISTORY
Emory historian attends White House event to discuss Underground Railroad
"Underground," a new television series about the Underground Railroad, debuts tomorrow. Emory professor Leslie Harris was invited to a White House screening of the show to offer her perspective on the history it explores.

Men's basketball advances to Sweet 16 in NCAA tournament
Emory's men's basketball team prevailed in its first two games of the NCAA Division III Tournament over the weekend, advancing to the Round of 16 for the third consecutive season.

Brain Q&A: Alzheimer's, dementia and mild cognitive impairment
Allan Levey, director of Emory's Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, answers questions about the disease and related disorders, including early detection and development of future treatments.

 

EVENTS
John Lewis documentary to screen at Emory Law
Emory School of Law will screen "Get in the Way: The Journey of John Lewis," on Saturday, March 26. The free event includes a panel discussion with Congressman Lewis and film director Kathleen Dowdey. Ticket registration is currently underway.

 

RELIGION
Exhibit on Passover Haggadah on view at Pitts Theology Library
The spring exhibit at Pitts Theology Library highlights the Haggadah, a compilation of biblical passages, prayers, hymns and rabbinic literature that is read each year during the Jewish Passover Seder.
