Shakespeare at Emory events lead up to First Folio exhibit
Celebrating the University's selection as Georgia's host site for the First Folio, one of the world's most treasured books, Shakespeare at Emory begins next week with an opening lecture and innovative performances of "As You Like It."

Mixed-strain malaria infections influence drug resistance
Scientists from Emory and the CDC have documented for the first time how competition among different malaria parasite strains in human hosts could influence the spread of drug resistance.

 

SUSTAINABILITY
Course inspires students to organize Climate Week events
Created by students inspired by a course focused on the Paris climate talks, Climate Week leads into Emory's celebration of Earth Month, which starts March 29 with a festival featuring food, games and more.

 

PUBLIC POLICY
Baltimore mayor to discuss city's 'recovery, resilience and reform'
Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake was thrust into the national spotlight last year during riots over the death of Freddie Gray while in police custody. For Emory's annual Hamilton Lecture, she will discuss how she worked with police to restore order while also advocating for reform.

 

RESEARCH
Emory team awarded $5.2 million to study vascular-Alzheimer's link
A team of Emory researchers was awarded a $5.2 million, five-year grant from the National Institute on Aging to examine the connections between blood pressure regulation and Alzheimer's disease.

 

ACTIVITIES
India Week features cultural, educational events
From a celebration of Holi, the festival of colors, to a visit from Nagesh Singh, Consul General of India in Atlanta, India Week includes a diverse slate of activities beginning March 28.
