Emory College senior awarded prestigious Churchill Scholarship
As a Churchill Scholar, Ilakkia Anabayan will pursue a master’s degree in clinical neurosciences at the University of Cambridge next year. She is Emory’s third Churchill recipient and the first since 1988.

 

ACHIEVEMENT
Alumnus wins select State Department fellowship
Oscar Escobar is the third Emory recipient of the prestigious Rangel Graduate Fellowship, an early-career program for aspiring diplomats.

Historian Daniel LaChance named 2022-23 Chronos Fellow
Emory historian Daniel LaChance, whose research examines harsh punishment in the United States, has been awarded the Chronos Faculty Fellowship in Emory College of Arts and Sciences.

Hosted by the Center for the Study of Law and Religion, featured speakers will explore the importance of incorporating lessons of the Holocaust into the future of education to promote ethical practice in all aspects of society. Themes will include how the study of the Holocaust informs their current work; the similarities and differences in public health and the political environments of pre-Holocaust Europe and today; and what makes the study of the Holocaust relevant for current society.
