For the second time in five years, an Emory graduate student has won the Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellowship, one of the top honors offered to young poets in the United States.

Unplanned Fox News viewing influences likelihood of voting for Republican presidential candidates
Voters who stumble across Fox News first in their cable news channel lineup are more likely to vote for a Republican presidential candidate, according to a new study in the American Economic Review. Watching CNN or MSNBC, however, did not have a similar effect.

'Threads of Time' exhibit explores cloth as culture
"Threads of Time: Tradition and Change in Indigenous American Textiles," now on display at the Michael C. Carlos Museum, examines cultures in Central and South America through clothing and fiber objects of many kinds.

Arts at Emory welcomes the community back to campus this month with a wide range of events, including two performances by the Vega String Quartet, Emory's acclaimed quartet in residence.

Carter Town Hall: Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter will be on campus Sept. 13 for the 36th annual Carter Town Hall, an Emory tradition since he became University Distinguished Professor in 1982.
